Rehearsal Dinners that Wow

Dining at Smith and Wollensky

Rehearsal Dinners are often the chance for the grooms family to be gracious hosts. The Bride and Groom are honored during a casual or formal affair often times after the rehearsal practice.  Most often the bridal party is invited and also any out of town guests.

Ambiance is key for the Rehearsal Dinner where usually two main events happen:


The Wine Room
The Toasts: This is where most toasts can be given and often times alleviate the pressure of the parents and other family to provide toasts at the Wedding.


The Gifts:  This is where the bride and groom often give gifts to the Bridal Party and Parents.

Setting the tone for the rehearsal dinner is very important and of course ease of planning for the parents of the groom and groom are another element to be considered.

The Clock Room
We recently had a wonderful experience previewing and touring Smith and Wollensky at Highland Village- the quessential steak house. We were very impressed with the Director of Private Dining, Liliana Estrada who custom creates a wonderful experience suited to her client's needs.







There are various private dining options from the intimate to the inviting at Smith & Wollensky and some wonderful promotions that make planning easy.

Wine Gallery:
An intimate working wine room with floor to ceiling wine racks where many of the wines on Smith & Wollensky’s Award Winning Wine List are stored.
Seating Capacity:
Social Event: 8 to 12 guests

Wine Vault:
The wine Vault features a handsome vaulted brick ceiling which accentuates the ambiance of this private room.
Seating Capacity:
Social Event: 13 to 24 guests

Kitchen Table Room:
While not located in the kitchen, this glass enclosed room provides diners a view of the kitchen “in action”.
Seating Capacity:
Social Event:  15 to 30 guests

Clock Room:
Named for the enormous clocks that adorn the walls, this room has polished wood floors topped with a custom-made Persian style rug
Seating Capacity:
Social Event: 30 to 70 guests

Patio Room:
Also known as Window room; this room is ideal for 50-100+ guests. Comprised of 3 walls of floor to ceiling glass windows that over look Highland Village.
Seating Capacity:
Social Event: 50 to 120 guests
